Treasure Bay (6 months – Age 4)
Marcus Pointe Baptist Church's Nursery is available for infants and toddlers up
through age four. It is a caring, nurturing environment where your
child can experience God's love. It provides parents the opportunity to
worship and attend adult education forums and classes knowing that
their young children are in a safe and nurturing place. Experienced
parents & caregivers serve in the Nursery. The Nursery is open on Sunday mornings
from 8:15am to 12:45pm and Wednesday evenings from 6:15pm to 8:00pm. No reservations are required for Sunday
mornings or Wednesday Evenings.
Information
Our Treasure Bay program teaches children with the end in mind. By the time a child graduates from our program he or she will know:
1.God Made Me
2. God Loves Me.
3. Jesus Wants to be My Friend Forever.
Your child will experience worship. We encourage all of our children to talk to God any time, any place.
There is a minimum of six adult
caregivers in the nursery at all times. Our caregivers have gone through a background check and interview process to ensure your child's safety. To learn more about our caregivers, contact Jeff York at (850) 479-8337.
Signing In
Signing is is required at the checking desk. (Building C Door 8) Once you have completed a family registration form,
we ask that you simply sign in at the Nursery desk each
Sunday. For the safety of your child, we require all parents and children to wear matching bracelets. These bracelets helped us to correctly identify your child and confirm the identity of those picking up the children. We require that the armband be presented in order for any child to be picked up. As an added safety measure, please enter only through the door
marked "entrance."
We welcome you to stay until your
child is comfortable, but keep in mind that most children settle in a
few minutes after your departure. Many times the Nursery is the first
place that a child experiences detachment from their parents, and we
encourage you to take the time that is necessary for you and your child
to adjust.
What to Bring
Please bring a labeled bag which includes
a pacifier (if your child uses one), at least two diapers, a change of
clothes, and all personal items your child may need such as wipes,
ointment, bottles, and/or comforting blankets. All personal items
should be labeled before arrival. If you forget diapers and wipes, we
have some on hand.
Health Guidelines
For the protection of all children and caregivers, please do not bring
your child to the Nursery if he or she is ill. If a child becomes ill
while in the nursery, the parents will be asked to take the child home.
Nursery staff cannot administer medication. Children who have
experienced any of the following symptoms within the past 24 hours
should not come to the nursery: fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting,
undiagnosed rashes or sores, on-going cough, runny eyes and nose,
and/or symptoms of childhood illnesses such as measles, chicken pox,
mumps, influenza, strep throat, or head lice.
