Senior Pastor

Pastor Godfrey was saved in 1972 in Montgomery, Alabama.  He began preaching a year later.  His full time ministry started in 1979 in Panama City, Florida, at Central Baptist Church.  After assuming the role of Sunday School Administrator in 1984, the Sunday school grew from 350 to 1500 in six years.  In 1991, he became Pastor of Fundamental Baptist Church in Pensacola, Florida.  The church experienced rapid growth and soon outgrew the buildings.  The church voted to relocate and changed the name to Marcus Pointe Baptist Church.  Since 1991, the average weekly attendance has climbed from 63 to more than 1400.  The church has averaged more than 500 salvations and 350 new members a year for more than 18 years.

He and his wife June have three children: Becky, Greg, and Bobby.  They also have three granddaughters, MacKenzie, Ryleigh and Abigayle, and one grandson, Jackson.  An avid outdoorsman, Pastor Godfrey can often be found in the woods hunting or in the gulf with a rod and reel.

Executive Pastor

Bob and his wife Judy were married in 1966. They have three grown children and 12 grandchildren. He has a business degree from Florida Atlantic University, and a Master of Ministry degree from Trinity Theological Seminary. Bob has 30 years experience in corporate finance and over 11 years in the ministry. He is responsible for the church’s personnel and business affairs. He likes to hunt, fish, and show pictures of grandchildren.

Worship Pastor

Brent and Julie have been married since May of 1990. They met at Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Florida, where they traveled with the college singing group (Aletheian Singers) for four years.   It was at Trinity that Brent received his Bachelor of Arts in Church Ministries.  They have three adopted children from China.  Brent oversees all of our worship ministries including the Celebration Choir & Orchestra, Kidz Praize, Praise Band, and various other groups.  Brent has a heart for adoption and serves on the board of Bethany Christian Services here in Pensacola.  In his spare time he loves playing Mario Brothers with his kids.

Senior Adults & Pastoral Care

Ron Foster is a Pensacola native.  Upon joining the U.S. Navy, he served the next 21 years on the West coast as a Navy helicopter pilot before returning to Pensacola in 1991.  Ron Joined the church staff in September 1992.   In the early years Ron worked in all areas of our church ministry helping Pastor Godfrey grow the church from 125 members to where it is today.  With the increase in staff, Ron is a Minister to our Senior Adult and has focused on Pastoral Care ministries. Ron and his wife, Rita, were married in 1969 and have 3 children.

Missions and Outreach Pastor

Dave is a San Diego native. In 2000, Dave moved with his wife Charlotte and two kids, Samuel and DeDe Ann to Pensacola for the position of Missions & Outreach Pastor at Marcus Pointe Baptist. He's in charge of Addiction Ministries, Life Hurts God Heals and Most Excellent Way. Dave also runs all our Mission Trips, foreign and domestic.

Student Pastor

As a 12 year-youth pastor veteran, Craig has seen it all.  Each experience has helped to create a greater passion in his heart for God's glory to be truly revealed in the lives of teenagers.  A dynamic and creative communicator, Craig is currently the Student Pastor at Marcus Pointe Baptist Church.  He is also the founder of REVOLUTION Ministries, an organization that helps teens serve the Pensacola community though the love of Christ.  Married since 2001, Craig and his wife Amanda have 2 children.

Children's Pastor

Jeff and his wife Heather have been married since 1994.  They have two amazing children, Cameron and Kiley. Jeff grew up as a “missionary kid” on the South Texas border, where his family served as home missionaries. He attended Howard Payne Baptist University in 1992. He joined the ministry, full-time, in 2007. Calling upon his vast theater background and his creative skills as a professional illusionist, film-maker, comedian and puppeteer, Jeff knows how to get a child’s attention. He has never finished an IronMan competition, mostly because he’s never tried. He believes that sarcasm should be a fruit of the spirit.

Nursery Director

Heather and her husband Jeff married in 1994 and they have been blessed with two beautiful children, Cameron and Kiley. Heather grew up in Trinity Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas and at seventeen felt called to full time special service for the Lord. Heather graduated from Howard Payne University in 1995 with a degree in Theatre and Communications and entered the ranks of professional educators later that same year. Heather has spent her life in service educating children from birth through young adults.

Michele and her husband, Les, still consider themselves newlyweds after 34 years of marriage.  Their grown son and 1 grandchild lives in Kansas.  She began her “church” career in 2001 as the church secretary/bookkeeper/receptionist at Grace Community Church in Great Bend, Kansas, and was hired as Pastor Godfrey’s secretary in 2006 shortly after moving to Pensacola.  She has been the financial secretary since September 2008.  Michele enjoys reading Christian fiction novels (Ted Dekker, Dee Henderson, Terri Blackstock, Robert Whitlow, and Karen Kingbury among her favorites) and meeting with the church book club monthly.

Amanda is our staff newlywed.  She and Victor got married on March 6, 2010. She completed her B.A. in English May ’08 at Pensacola Christian College. She has worked in various ministries for 6 years. Now she is the assistant for Children, Youth and LifeGroup Minsitries.

Church Receptionist/Notary Public

 Nancy was born in Pennsylvania into a pastor's family. She lived in several places throughout her childhood, including New York, South Carolina and Alberta, Canada. She met her husband Danny while attending Tennessee Temple. They were married in 1974 and had their daughter Betsy in 1977. Nancy has been on staff at Marcus Pointe since 2005. In her free time, she enjoys reading, walking and vacationing with her family.

Music Assistant

Mary is originally from Canton, Ohio.  She grew up in a Christian home where a love for music (piano, specifically) and a passion for music ministry developed early in life.  Mary joined the staff of Marcus Pointe in 1998 after serving three years in the music office as a volunteer.  She has a B.A. degree from Malone College in Canton, Ohio;  is married to Ken, who owns Gulf Technical Services in Gulf Breeze;  and they  have two children.  Mary's office evidences her love for both music and cats.
